Join a new interactive workshop based in Computer Aided Design (CAD) with Arnav, student instructor at NEST.
FOUR-Week workshop in TWO Parts, Tinkercad and Onshape. Come to all four weeks.
PART 1 is aimed at younger students (grades 4-8) for learning Tinkercad:
- 2 classes - March 8 and 15 - 4:30-6:00 pm
Objectives
Aimed at younger students, but older students looking to get into CAD should attend. Students will learn how to develop foundational CAD skills such as assemblies and design construction, as well as how to navigate printing software and import models online.
PART 2 is aimed at older students (grades 8-11) for learning Onshape:
- 2 classes - March 22 and 29 - 4:30 - 6:00 pm
Objectives
Aimed at older students, but younger students with some CAD experience should attend. Students will learn how to develop next-level CAD skills - learning the mathematical skills necessary to construct gear and belt systems. For high-level robotics, as well as the science behind gear anatomy and its importance in higher-level subsystems.
