Intro to Web Design in HTML

TWO-Week workshop, FREE for members, $20 for non-members. Up to 8 students in grades 4-8.

Minimal experience is needed, except for slight familiarity with the concept of coding. This is a web development class that will teach by leading students through a long term project of their choice. Students will learn the fundamentals HTML & CSS, the markup language that is the backbone and structure of every webpage and website you see – including the one you are browsing on at this very moment! How the words on your screen are formatted, how the images are placed, the layout of the website and the design – it’s all made possible with HTML & CSS. Additionally, web development is a great way to get beginners interested in coding, especially when their first impression is being able to fully express their creative side by making a webpage of their own.
